I purchased a UHF radio a while back but haven't had it installed yet. The main reason being I don't know where to put it. Doesn't seem like a lot of options in the KK. Just wondering where you put yours and some pictures of it installed would be good. I did see one and I think it was a KK from memory, but it was installed inside the center console. Had a look at that option but wasn't much room to play with.

G'Day Jeep Guy,
I put mine under the steering column, as there was plenty of space under there.

I cut a hole in the fascia, and glued a speaker grille over it to allow the voices to be heard easier.

I used a 'rugged network adaptor' from jaycar to make a mount in the centre fascia, so the hand piece didn't need to remain plugged in

Or you could just hang the cord out underneath the steering column.
Hope this gives you some ideas.
