I'm just sussing out some options for the JK to increase its carrying capacity and these racks caught my eye. Love the fact no drilling into bodywork is required...
Anyway, I take it that quick disconnect kit is an option? What does the standard rack come with?

Hey Guys,
I have this rack now for over a year, and can vote for it. Install takes 2 people, fist time to install, about a day time (with some breaks in between). Have loaded it up quite a bit (although try to keep the real heavy shit as low as possible in the car) and no issues at all. If you're not going to remove the hard top, or not going to open the soft top while having the rack on the car, don't bother about the quick disconnects. Although they make flipping the rack backwards much quicker, they also need tensioning every 2 weeks or so. Rack looks awesome once you have added some lights on it ;-)
Cheers.

was wondering what the deal is with the front section on the 4 door, is there no 'basket' on that section, seems a waste if so, still a sexy bit of kit regardless, could see myself putting 3 serious led bars on this

The stock rack comes empty up front so you can remove the freedom panels on your hard top. There is whats called a sunroof insert available as an option to fill that hole.
We now have some light bars specifically made by Gobi, to suit a 40" rigid light bar.
