Hey guys,

Last time I was out in the bush I managed to smashed my trailer plug trying to climb a hill that had the missus leaving fingernail marks in the dash board :p. I only got around to chucking a new plug on the other day and suddenly my reverse sensors don't work. I double checked the wiring and its all good just wondering if anyone has had any similar issues or knows a fix?

Reevesy,

Have you blown a fuse, althought the plug is OK check the fuse box. I would also check connections to the sensors and the loom back to the electronics the impact has knocked something loose, hopefully this is an easy fix before getting into the electronics. Just push these tight again.

Hope your other half was more impressed than mine after we got bogged a few weeks ago :D.

All fixed, I checked all the usual easy stuff and after a visit to the dealer it turns out you need a genuine plug for the sensors to work properly because there is a wire in the plug that tells the reverse sensor module a trailer is connected and turns them off. So now I just have to turn them off via the switch on the dash when I'm towing.
