Giraween (granite belt area) QLD

Heading off to Giraween in the morning for a few days camping in the cold, with a few mates and a ew beers and a great big open fire. Its about half way between Stanthorpe and Tenterfield for those that dont know the area. About 280kms south west from the gold coast.

I will post some pics up later next week when we get back.

Weather report looks great too, 5 days of sun!!!

This place is awesome. Me and the missus took a day trip down there a few sundays ago, went to Bald Rock NP and Boonoo Boonoo NP aswell. Been to both Sundown NP and Giraween NP on previous day trips. Its also nice and cold this time of year :)

As Bozza said Bald Rock, Boonoo boonoo falls, good walk down to the bottom, also make sure you have a look at the underground river, another good walk around also do walk up Pyramids and balancing rock

Good few days had camping, dam cold but very nice, nice big fire and plenty of beers, didnt even need to put beers in the esky, just pulled them straight out of the box and ready to drink!! Gotta love camping trips where you dont need ice. Good climbs and walks up to the Pyramid also.

ps. The temp is 4 degrees at 8pm if you cant quite read it and dropping, i think it hit minus 2 at 5 am.
