Chev powered TJ

I have heard and read a bit about this one before but there is now a write up on Overlander site about it in case someone hasn't read about it before. It is powered by a 5.3 litre Chev from a pickup.

There was a nice writeup of this in 4wd monthly a few months back. Looks like a good engine to stick in the big bit at the front.

Personally I would have opted for the 5.7 instead of the 5.3....But hey....still pretty darn cool.

I agree as the 5.7 has a Alloy block and therefore lighter too.
Interesting that he had to have some custom springs made as the ones on the market were to hard I think he said. With the weight of that V8 I thought that would not have been a problem graemlins/dunno.gif
