I don't have a soundbar on mine, and was wanting an interior light. Now i know where i can purchase the light itself and where to mount it etc., but was wondering if i could hook it up to the driver footwell light wiring. This way, it'll work when the door is opened etc. Or is it better to run it independently??
Any suggestions? Anyone else done this?

Try Whitworths Chandlery (http://www.whitworths.com.au)
They have lights like this that might be of use

U can hook it up to the footwell /door opener, the wiring is on the LHS near the seat belt, about half way up.....

Ah, another jiper in need of a gildo O/H console.
Have a look at the pics section, with my console I put in a 20w swivel downlight. 12v and bloody bright. Hook into the std loom and ad an extra switch for use with the door shut.

i just use a coleman tent light with the magnetic back which i just stick to the top rail of the windscreen it throws enough light to see what you are doing and is easily removed when ever you want they are about $20 from a camping store
