AMC20 info (http://www.off-road.com/jeep/tech/axle/amc20.html) This link should answer your questions, if not give you engough info to get under your jeep scrap the dirt and crud of the housing and find out what your meant to have.
You can always mark the drive shaft with a bit of chalk and mark the a wheel then roll the jeep for one complete tyre rotation and count the number of times the drive shaft turns.
