MARXY 03-07-2003, 11:25 AM I'm thinking of 31s too but I have been told that I will need to get off set rims or cut the guards?? Do you guys know about this? I don't want to have to buy new rims Steve F 03-07-2003, 01:28 PM I'm running 2 1/2 in the rear of my XJ and have not extended the bumpstops as I run a 30" tyre. How much do the bumpstops need to be extended in the rear to avoid rubbing as it seems to me without a bigger lift I'll rub with 31's and loose some articulation in the rear if I extend the bumpstops to get around this. Here's a pic of it mildly stuffed and you can see how close the 30's are. These are BFG AT's as well, I'm guessing a muddy would be closer. I guess a mild trim of the inner guard with 31's would be Ok as I can see now where it very slightly rubs. Never rubbed with 31s and you dont need to cut your flares or anything else. MARXY 03-07-2003, 03:53 PM Tnx Buddha - my XJ is already up 2". I was thinking going up a bit more - 1" with spacers and shackles - but need to get some expert advice on this one. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
