Just wondering if anyone is interested in going for a run somewhere on the 6th (sat) or 7th (sun) or even overnight on both days with a night run thrown in. By then i should have finished my jeep and will be willing to test it. If anyone has any ideas of places to go (preferably rocks) let me know.

Jeepwolf
27-07-2003, 09:19 PM
Im free for that weekend however I dont have lockers or had much experience with rocks, I don't know if that will make a difference were you go for testing your new setup.

MattW
27-07-2003, 09:24 PM
Nah places that i have been before usually have easier tracks around extreme places. As i've been building my rig i've gotten more confident at trying the harder tracks instead of going around. So there is always something for everybody NOBODY gets left behind EVER as thats not what wheeling is about. :D :D

If you want rocks try Harvey some nice limestone otherwise maybe out east way find some friendly farmers that will let you play on there rocks Matt if you want a quick run to test your car give me or wolf a call and we can go up to Jarrahdale to Kittys gorge or get in quietly to Armadale some nice rock there

Oscar you should have come along had the best time to bad how sad any how stiff shit Julie has risen to new heights mate she is the giant killer 31s 2 inch lift and one hell of a determination she went every were
Matt w s car performed execllently and looked so cool with the jt2s on hit the mud tracks out the back of Baldivis man there was heaps of water up to my door sills and a couple of kms of the stuff with some deep holes in the middle after some recovery work on a yota tray back Matt W decides to see just how deep you can dig holes with 2 air lockas and quality tyres up to the floor boards and one snatch strap later for me we got him out then yanked gtr out also
Man the grin on Matts face as he cruised through the water and mud was way wide it was only being hooked up to another car that got him unstuck
Did a couple of good hills at Dwellingup that got everyone going lots of fist pumping and yelling from the crowd as each car made the very steep rocky climd then on to the mother of all hills
Gtr is the first guy i no to drive it unlocked man he is crazy and was seen to be beating his chest and screeming the world down after the climb Julie got just passed half way ground clearance got the better of her but more mods are on the way now she has been bittenm by the 4x4 bugMatt cruised the hill still couldnt remove the smile from his face
The Wolf mobile went well all day but has suffered damage to the rear diff housing in we think its cracked as its leaking watery diff oil half way along the longer tube
Crazey nuts had a ball for his first run and now wants to mod his car
Big apologise to DIY sorry for having you wait so long for us to show up but just didnt think the water and mud was going to be so bad
the damage bill me 1 snatch strap broken
Julie 2 head lights shattered they dont like being drowned when hot and just broke the plastic end of the rear bar bent reversing into a hill and 1 bent wrangler number plate
wolf cracked rear diff housing
sorry no pics other people will have to post them
DIY very nice looking jeep have to come on some more runs

Well.....first of all i would like to thank dudoop for all the recovery help. ESPECIALLY me :D

I had a ball and i can't wait to go at it again. Even though i had a close call of rolling my pride and joy....

I have numerous pics that i can post if someone can find me about 50mb worth of space as the pics are in original size (2200 x 1800).

I can resize them to something like 1600 x 1200 but they will still be about 1mb each and there are well over 30 pics.

Hey Frank.....hit me up for a copy of the video. if you can maybe burn it on SVCD or DVD that would be kewl......if not...standard VHS will do :)

Thanks for the great time again everyone....and all the information you have given me durring this wonderful day.

Thanks to everyone that came out was the best day out for ages Julie cant stop talking about it
Fixed Wolfs rear diff today it wasnt cracked but on the drivers side of the tube there is a bracket that holds the brake line in place it has 2 6mm bolts holding it down Wolfs car didnt have them so he had 2 6mm holes open straight into his diff so it filled up about 4 liters worth nice swamp water
Frank if you can put the footage on svcd that would be great as we dont have a video anymore

Yes I did get some shots from the w/end,and will get around to loading them VERY soon.
ALK's , you missed out on a killer day 8) I like dwellingup, the hills a way long and are very heavely rutted.
LOTS of H2WHOAAAA around Baldivis,we drove through about close to 2km non stop water from around axle deep to "OH SHIT WHAT AM I DOING OUT HERE" deep. :?
But a great day never the less. :D Julie took out first prize for the most determined driver of the day.Man was she posessed? ("WE NEED A OLD PRIEST AND A YOUNG PRIEST") **)

As for my thirsty rear diff? We found out today that some pea-nut has removed one of the break cable retainer clips on top of the diff, leaving behind two 10mm holes where the bolts should have been. I finally know where the water gets in to my diff!!! and all is cool now. 8)

It's a 5mp 8x optical zoom.

I used to own a Canon G2 as well...but sold it and got this one instead.

Trying to find some good shots from that trip?
Gary took all the shots from about 2km away and thought he would use the digital zoom on my camera so he wouldn't have to walk up the steep hill's.As it turned out when you download them onto the computer they turn out a bit blurry. But some of them turned out fine,so I will get to it today ?

LEXX, I had to drink beer cos I conveniently forgot to bring some water? 8)
