for you ACJ...
long story short,
i busted my front drive shaft a long while ago,
i was already had 4" lift,
had driveline vibs,
needed SYE, & at the point there were no simple SYE solution for the 247.

so i got a 242 and had SUB installed it.

reason for a 242 & not a 231?
242 has 2WD, 4Hi, 4constant, & 4Lo,
and there are aftermarket mods for 242
most importantly, it was harder to do a 231 swap.

now i have SYE & some HD drive shaft the both ends.

cheers
