Is it worth spending the extra $$$ for eg Rancho shocks or are they basically all the same. I'm considering the Rancho RSX for my Grand Cherokee LTD to improve the on-road handling. Any ideas are welcome. thanks Steve

Ive had ranchos before there pretty good as you can adjust them but I ended up buying an incar kit cause I was too lazy to get out. Quality wise Id say there about the same. Im still looking at buying some hd swaybars as I find it doesnt ride hte best. asp_777 16-12-2003, 06:22 PM Im still looking at buying some hd swaybars as I find it doesnt ride hte best . What do you mean exactly? billsta 16-12-2003, 07:03 PM i think he means that he doesnt like the current sway bar and looking for a new & HD ones. asp_777 16-12-2003, 07:41 PM Billsta...Sorry about my ignorance, Im a newbee ----but what are "HD" also do shocks come in different lengths, I thought they had one model suitable shock for a particular car. For example if I bought rancho model RSX, then I would get a model that could suit any car. Is that right? Thanks. 80LIX 16-12-2003, 08:13 PM Sorry mate "HD" is Heavy Duty. I find the rear of the ZJ seems a bit loose so looking to get thicker (ie. Heavy Dut) swaybars to reduce the side to side roll of the body. Ill then just disconnect them when I go off road. Shocks are made for each type of car made to the standerd size of the springs. If the springs are longer then the shocks need to be longer to match. Longer shocks are important off road as it allows the suspension to travel more (ie into holes!) asp_777 16-12-2003, 09:13 PM Thanks. NOW I undertand! vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
