Finally checked the forum and the night of the 27th is a gee ohh. Of course I have recovery kit but no tools... just as well I have the bendy sway bar :) Might even go for a Yatla pie afterwards. Mmm wheeling followed by a true aussie miricle of engineering, life don't get much better than that :D

we are meeting at the big bparvo on the highway towards the gold coast. the servo is directly across the road from yatla pies. we normally park out the back of the servo as its less busy.

How many toads do you think we squashed?
Can't wait to do it again. Hopefully have my own TJ within the next few months.... Then Wen and I can have some fun with the boys!

ps - special thanks to Wen for spraying me with rid. Woke up with only one 1 bite this morning.

glad you pair are ok. i can empathise with the experience.

maybe you guys wanna go to the seat belt offroad thread and vote now

was a very tricky section to go through, pizzaz got into trouble also as his rear right tyre went flat and with the front left wanting to lift through there twas a bit of a scary run for him. to ad insult to injury his winch cable was wound back on itself and jamed so that took me a bit to fix while he was balancing there.

Hi Dave..its a weird one. I went to Australia zoo with the folks on Saturday and when i came home it left a puddle of fluid on the ground. hasnt done it since though so may be a blocked breather or something

Well, back home in sunny NSW now (with cable 'net access once more) and just wanted to say a huge thanks to Jimmy and the rest of the Qld ausjeepers that came along for making it an awesome night, definately some of the harder stuff I've played on and some of those chicken tracks are a B grade drive in the daytime so great driving especially from the stock(ish) trucks that came along.

No major damage to the pizza mobile - the tyres held pressure one they got a bit more air in them so I reckon it was a combination of low pressures in the beadlocks and being dragged sideways first on that first set of rocks and then by the winch. I did notice that my fuel guage read differently on the way home though, seems it got knocked about a bit!

On a positive note, I get approx 380 kms out of a tank on the highway which was quite surprising given the 260 odd that I get around town. Not sure that I'll be driving it that sort of distance for a while though - the hum of the JT II's is pitched quite well to send you to sleep at 100km/h!

Can't wait 'till next time!
