In the process at the moment is custom rear coils so I can do away with the 2.5" spacer.
I hope this inspires some more creations for the KJ!!

Yes. It was, thanks Ross. If anyone wants any of the above made, I'm sure JBitz would be happy to make it. **)

Who did the barrier.
I've heard a rumour I cannot get the half barrier unless I get the draw system, some deal they have made.
I was going to look at modifying a roof basket for the job, but sseing asd though you have one I may as well copy.

I made the barrier myself. It works well but the one I have made can only be installed with the rear seats taken out. I'm sure it can be modified (I'll try when I get back from my trip) to work with the seats in.
I am pretty sure you can buy the barrier from Jeep without any draws. It is pretty expensive for a half barrier though.
I mad the roof basket also from 4mm mesh. It was a lot of mucking about though and if I did it again i would just buy a ready made 1200x900 basket which are relatively cheap. (see thule website)

Walker - have you had the barrier certified? I was questioned big time by the RTA here in NSW last time I went to get our other fourby blue-slipped (over the pits) I was asked why our cargo barrier (original Milford) didn't have the certification plaque attached. I explained that the barrier was bought 2nd hand and I removed the plaque so that I could de-rust and re-paint it. They told me that they wouldn't register the car with the barrier installed if it didn't have the cert. plaque.

Hmmmm. No not certified. We don't have to get a roadworthy done in Vic unless you are selling the car. And no I don't want to hear the legal implications :o I would rather be ignorant.
But truthfully, I would have happily paid for a Milford (or other) fully certified barrier if they would only get off their bums and make one.

Milford are who I was reffering too. I was told this by a well known jeep supplier but am still awaiting confirmation of it.
I got a basket for $120.00 bucks so I could not pass it up.

As far as I knew, Milford don't make a barrier. Mopar do.
Any more info on the rear Jerry holders?
Photo's don't seem to be working anymore :(
