Maddog I did the whole track track last year with a couple of minutes to spare.I had a couple of winches as well. It's all in the planning you sort of have to weigh up if it's worth the second attempt at the obsticle(if you don't make it on the 3rd your out so winching after your 2nd is usually the go) or just pull the winch out and take the peanalty..You have to be ready to make quick decisions on the day and keep track of time..not as easy as the Nissan Trials..

I'd prefer to drive in the arvo any how.

Hi there,

If anyone is heading up on the Saturday I sure would appreciate a ride from Sydney.
It is my work xmas party on Friday the 26th before the event, so I need to get to woodpecker on Saturday to meet up with Shane and the firetruck.

I am staying at the Siebel pier one I think but can make my way anywhere in Sydney to catch a ride :)

If anyone can help me out please let me know via PM or email.

cheers

Z

I'll just confirm 100% that I can get it from my parents place and get it towed up there for the weekend. I'm not sure if the TJ will be able to tow it, so will need to get the WJ to tow it.

Do you guys that have been there before think it will be safe to leave it there on Sunday while we compete? Where will you be leaving your boat Jumbo?

Buddha

We have 3 Permanent caravan sites at Sackville Ski Gardens just around the corner from Dargle and will be leaving the boat there. We have had the sites for nearly 20 yrs and the locals kindly inform anyone that shouldn't be there to go away...

If you want you can leave the boat on one of the sites,They have camping on site as well..

I wouldn't leave my boat un attended while I was doing the comp @ Dargle it's just too much of a temptation.. :|

Still dont know if I can make it, if I do it'll most likely be an early drive over.

If I'm being 'dragged along' then I vote we stay the night before....that way Chook can catch up with the cowboy shots missed from the other day!

BTW - I don't need to be dragged to anything that has to do with the jeep (unless its watching Jeff & Jimmy working yet again under eithers jeeps!)
