Anyone heard or read anything about this all new look Wrangler model due to hit our shores in just over a year?

now I am not being bitter you understand
but the SWB brigade will have to feel the pain us XJers felt watching our rigs drop 2K in value overnight.

Not really that worried, you lose more than that when you drive it out of the showroom for the first time.

Yeah plus the current TJ will be sold from dealers for years to come, even if a new swb is released. With the all the recent monies ploughed into the Rubicon and Unlimited and with the excellent response from consumers they'll just sell both.

TK is due as a MY07.

So the Yanks won't get it until the middle of 2006. We should get it 3 to 4 months after that.

Who told you we'll have it in 12 months ?

By the way, XJs went UP in value when KJ came out. They only started to come back down again a good 18 months after the KJ release. I guess that's what happens when the replacement model is $15k more than the old one and in some ways not as popular.

Dec 05 is the LWB TJ introduction into Aust, according to SVM.

On the TK..from another source..

Platform code has changed to JK.
Will be built at the Toledo Jeep Plant.
Classified as truck.
Production starts in July 2006.

The previous rumor was that the platform had IFS. However, I heard a rumor that the Wrangler was "something that the Jeep community would love".

Other news: 4.0L is NOT being discontinued. Looks like it will be modified since production is being moved to another plant. It will receive a power boost. Since I heard that the Wrangler (JK) would have solid axles... this makes sense, since engineers from Chrysler say the Liberty would not have IFS if it wasn't for that 3.7L. Maybe the same problem happened with the Wrangler?

yeah but your TJ is red too

I reckon it's awesome AND it would be a great addition if it was sold alongside the other current models (cherokee, grand, wrangler) without removing the IFS TJ from the market.

According to SVM it will be December 2005.

Who is SVM???

cherrykee
31-12-2004, 08:54 AM
Scuderia Veloce Motors in Sydney I would expect, up there in Artarmon from memory, or is it Lane Cove?

One of the "Blue Ribbon" Jeep Dealers mainly due to their positioning I would expect, although I believe they were one of the first Jeep Dealers in Oz.

Aint it amazing the useless s**t you pickup talking to Jeepers in your travels.

Happy New year, and may they RIP.

"Blue Ribbon"??

As in ice cream ??

Mmmmmmmm ice creammmmmm...

SVM ( Scuderia Veloce Motors ) is just a clever marketing trick ( Italian name ) dreamed up by a couple of Aussies to make Subarus ( Japanese, right? ) seem exotic.

By the way, who was it at Scuds that told you this?
