View Full Version : Building a secondary cage

Well for TTC I've decided to build a secondary cage with will fit behind but inside (narrower) than the stock main hoop. It will have dual diagonal braces & horrizontal bar for the Harness route.
Then will have diagonal rear legs going to the floor.
The idea is to have something that meets (and exceeds) the safety regs - but means I don't need to register as a 2 seater as this section will be removeable.

Ok that's the overview.
Bender arrived last week.
12 meters of 48.3mm OD (40mm Nominal bore) 3.7mm wall seemless pipe arrived today.....

Pics will come as the project progresses.....

Are you going to be pandering to rules from cams, ccda, both ? For other comps...

Been busy studying both sets of rules - and think we'll be able to meet both sets of requirements.
Hopefully the result will be sinilar to MaxB's setup (well that's what I'd like to achieve)....
