Hey there, I have heard a rumour while on vacation in th US that the incredible Tomcar offroad vehicle is going to come to Australia. You can see the Tomcar at www.tomcar.com - It is amazing! I drove it on a 4x4 safari and it was the most amazing offroad machine I have ever seen! Does anyone know anything about this amazing car? The tour guide told me that Tomcar are in the process of looking for and building a factory here in Australia. Any further info would be great. Has anyone else driven the Tomcar:?:

I guess SPAM is ok in the rumour mill?
Why would it be a rumour when "Tomcar Australia" is listed as the Australian distributor and the distributor's email address is jbrim @ brimko.com ... oh hangon that wouldn't be you Brimworld would it???
Spammer!

So bRimmer what sorta Jeep you got :?: :0=
Infact it's a pretty ugly looking thing and certainly doesn't appear as capable as a decently prepped Jeep.....Other than being a cheaper POS to thrash ;)

I drive a early 90's Jeep Wrangler - nothing too hot...
But I have to beg to differ with you regarding the Tomcar. I drove one of them at the Moab Adventure centre in Utah - www.moabadventurecenter.com - and it blew me away. This thing can go anywhere! Apparently it ate up the Rubicon Trail with no problem - and I appreciate why. Check out the movies on the Moab Adventure Centre's web site.
This thing is made using a steel frame, with independent suspension and has a 90 degree approach & departure angles.
It is great fun! I am telling you, the Tomcar will blow you away!

Haven't seen a pic that couldn't be driven in a jeep yet.......
Sure the auto, low weight, low cog would help it offroad.....
But I hate to tell ya mate - Independant suspension isn't something to boast about for offroad crawling (sure works well for blasting along and jumps etc).
and 4wd WOULD be nice ;)....maybe some better looks too ;)
sheesh.. seems your getting a little narky wooders???
whats the go.. we gonna start another footpeg thread?
you may be tongue in cheek but it comes across more as an attack
just my thoughts.. glad to be wrong.

Yeah I probably am......But I stand by, the foot peg was the bloke was upfront and asked what we thought....hmm then got upset when we told him honestly.....
Here far as I can see we have a bloke who's never posted anything else on the forum starts ranting about how good this product is, then claims no association yet seems a bit "close"..... hmm the coincidences ;)
I guess just personally I wouldn't buy one its $$ towards Jeep mods....I also think it's a bit....errr spamish ;).....
fair enough.. *avoiding bringing up the footpeg thread again* hehe..

I am not a spammer!! Just wanted to share my experience with the Tomcar on this site....
I just had a great time with it on my holiday and was wondering when it would come to Australia - that's all!! No offence taken though guys!
I do though recommend that if any of you get the chance to dribe one of these Tomcars, that you do. You'll love it!

I offer my apologies then. Just seems "close" you would have to admit.
Anyways then it seems the best person to tell you when it will arrive in Australia is the Australian distributor listed on the tomcar website.

No worries - I agree a weird coincidence! But brimworld is just my hande...
I have emailed the alternate Brim and am awaiting a reply. I was just wondering if anyone else has driven a Tomcar and what they think.
I have found out that they were developed in Israel and I must say, these things are great fun to drive. I really think that they will do well over here.
If this isnt spam Brimworld, then why did you create a second login called cardigan and 'respond' to your own post about spamming?
Hmm....
I dont see the problem.. let sleeping dogs lie..
without this guys post Id never have heard about tomcars..
He heard a rumour.. who cares if its bullshit.. you just have to read the HG is really Black TJ thread to know this page isnt ment to be taken to heart.
I thought spamming was blatant flooding of self promotion.. ... I havent seen the flood yet.

I've looked on the John Deere website and don't see anything like it - however the colours sure seem like a John Deere. What's that red car on the locked version of this thread? It was posted by Ben - it looks great fun. :?: Penguin
