My KJ is due for it's 36k service and I have been quoted $390 dollars by DC at Parramatta.

This price seemed a bit high to me. Does anybody know of any other locations in Sydney for servicing Jeeps.

thanks

Ouch.

Hurty.

Call Suburban and some of the other Jeep dealers. It would be very interesting to find out what everyone else is quoting.

just for comparisons sake
Avalanche 10,000 = $296
Wg CRD = $278

The difference was due purely to the cost of the oil used -
WG =Mobil 1 /10w50, Ava =Mobil 1 /10W30.
Both MILES in front of Landcruiser I had :hammer:

I just checked my 12k service receipt and I was charged $210 (Wagon Wheels). 24k Service was free due to service guys drilling two holes in the side of my car whilst installing my cargo barier (Long story). This is why I thought $390 was a bit pricing.

Hey Salesguy. Any reason for the large increase in servicing costs.

Hey Salesguy. Any reason for the large increase in servicing costs.

Yeah.

Very hard to make money selling cars these days. (cue violins) All the manufacturers are screwing the dealers' margins to move the metal; used cars are worthless; money is cheap and the only thing left is servicing. Worldwide trend, really, we're just catching up to where the NA + Euro markets have been for a while now. My tip is the next big money spinner will be private operating leases. One monthly payment covering everything except fuel, no mods allowed, return it at the end and sign up for another one.

That's the way to go, but make sure they stamp your book and keep a detailed copy of the work order to prove they have done all the required things.

I'll let our service boys know about Sub's prices though.
