AEV JEEP Commander

Well we havnt been lucky enough to experience the New Commander here in Australia yet, but the Yanks are already blazing ahead with the aftermarket designs.

And of course who is leading the charge, AEV, and they have released this vehicle at the 2005 Sema show.

Powered by the 5.7L Hemi V8 and running a 5 speed Automatic transmission. This beast is running a 4.5" suspension lift coupled with 5" of extended wheelbase.

Lifted high enough to run 37" meats on AEV custom beadlocked rims, and sporting lots of other custom AEV exquipment.

At least if this vehicle ever makes it to Oz we will be able to get some great mod equipment straight away.

Seen one in Dubai. Very stock but still a nice looking Jeep.

Was speaking to Sven (xxxpedition guy) last night and they were originally trying to get one of these as a sponsor deal for their drive round AUS. They were going to solid axle swap it and get it built up. Only 15 have been set aside worldwide as sponsor vehicles and three of them were at SEMA. They didnt get one.

As much as I like the Commander, I think it would have been a disservice to the original Jeep Gladiator if they had done that.

i just hope and pray they put the new gladiator ute into production, they look mad from standard! got to save my pennies so i can afford it if they ever do put it out on the market
