I know of a couple of guys who picked it up at midnight. Personally I wasnt that impressed, I think it will take a while for the developers to get a handle on the system before any really good games come out.

Yeah I'd have to agree there,the games look awesome and play well but nothing new as yet,just updated current gen games.

The system itself is very good though,the interface,Live,all very well done.

I think I'll wait for the PS3. Then compare. And I am sure a bit of competition will bring the prices down as well.

PS3 wont be backwards compatible because they are using a disk technology called Bluray.

PS3 will be backwards compatable same as PS2 can play PS1 games, DVD drives will still play cd's as well.Blu-Ray drives will play blu-ray,dvd and cd.I personally wouldn't bother buying a 360 it is just a pc in a fancy box really.waiting for my PS3 Mr Sony :(

For the record the ZX Spectrum beats everything, hands down, but;

waiting on the PS3 to come out as well, need something to compare 360 to justify the cost. plus... everything they have are mostly gimmicks that i dotn need...

plus want to read more reviews before comittment... not interested in US based reviews.. we live in Australia...

Have been told also with the Blu-ray disc that they are region free....meaning you can buy games and movies direct from states and they will work over here.

i played one in target yesterday and it kicks ass, better game graphics, than i have ever seen, playstation and computers included. it has also got the best game play ever.

Playability on a PC is much better for me in FPS because I'm use to the keyboard / mouse combo.
