So she's going to Nepal hey. I spent a month travelling there once. Didn't book a thing, just rocked up with a Lonely Planet and a backpack! Was an awsome trip & saved a heap by not booking anythig from home (on the advice of friends who'd been there)

I wouldn't do it quite like that today tho. It used to be a very safe place to travel back then but not anymore, as she's written. If i was going there right now though i wouldn't be hanging around Kathnamdu longer than it took me to hop on a bus to the mountain regions where you planned to trek.
