WANTED: Lockable Fuel Cap 2002 Cherokee Sport KJ

Hi guys anyone have a Lockable Fuel Cap for a Cherokee Sport KJ 2002 (new or used they don't want) for sale?

Or can anyone direct me towards a cheaper option than the $208 that my jeep dealer wants to charge me? :sad:

There's one on ebay.com.au a few days ago I think. Try doing a search under "jeep"

Yeah there are a few. All of them are in the US and for the Jeep Liberty 2002 model. I am unsure as to whether these are compatble to an Australian model (ie. size of petrol access point).

I have emailed Stant and asked them if they would know it they are compatible but still no response. but $208 is kinda steep.

If it does work, even with postage factored in it will save me $150 odd dollars.

Kinda makes me extremely wary of my jeep dealer now. :sad:

Hehe yeah. I was just thinking, as a jeep dealer would they be protective of their fellow franchisees and suggest i go through my local jeep dealer or would they get their parts through the same supplier?

I just got an email from an ebay seller who was selling the fuel cap for the liberty 2002 and he assures me that it will fit the cherokee sport 2002 (i have sent him the part no. required as well). So i think i may go with that will cost $60 postage included. :)
