I want to take my RHD 2001 Jeep Wrangler to Vanuatu, trouble is it needs to be LHD to import and register it there. It occured to me that there must be a market for RHD to LHD conversions seeing as most are in the other direction.
Any info would be appreciated. Mitch
Why don't you sell your jeep. Buy one from the states and get that one sent over to vanuatu? you could probably get a fairly well built jeep from the states for cheap. I'm only thinking out loud though as I have no idea of what i'm talking about

That thought did cross my mind, thanks, Mitch

I cant really see a market for RHD to LHD conversions as there are so many more LHD vehicles to start with.

There must be a huge heap of LHD parts somewhere then :)

Actually, has anyone noticed that TJs seem to be holding their value in the US better than OZ?

US Jeeps bottom out at about $3000-$4000 US. Regardless of age or model. Used CJ, YJ, TJ after 10 years are worth the same for some reason.
Unless your talking XJ or KJ, then those eventually are just abandoned cause they can't be given away.

I cant see any reason for a RHD to LHD conversion. I have been in the conversion business for the past 15 years and the cost of the average conversion has gone from 10 to now $35,000.
I dont see the value in spending $35,000 on your wrangler when you can buy them dirt cheap from the states and ship it there for $3500????????????

Maybe you could get a nicely built MJ from the US just to be different?
