SJC Show & Shine + Beach Cruise Saturday 17/03/07

Troy from Jeepers HQ, is hosting a Jeep Show & Shine at his premises at 1/500 Princess Hwy, St.Peters from 8.30am. Jeeps of most models will be there from stock to modded to be seen. The Sydney Jeep Club, after the event has finished, will have a cruise along the southern beachs to Bondi then have a spell for lunch.
So if you are thinking of modding your Jeep or joining a 4wd club ( plug for SJC ) or entering the show & shine ( some trophies to be awarded ), come along.

Dave will also be doing a breakfast BBQ to help raise money for his and Robs entry into the "Kidney 4WD Adventure" so dont have breakie before hand :)

Looks like I'll have to bypass the freakin' Coathanger this weekend... I'm in Balgowlah. :hammer: Bridge's 75th birthday if I'm not mistaken??

Any idea how many SJC members / officials will be there? I'm seriously looking to join up but haven't had the time to.. this may be a better time than any!

A few of the comm. will be there with more then +10 Jeeps there for show/shine. The cruise after is looking good to. Did not recall anyone thinking of the bridge's birthday on the same day??.

thought the bridge walk is on sunday, but im sure the 'celebrations' run thru the whole weekend...?
i should be there... i might even wash the jeep...
is there prices for stock jeeps? :)

Yep, bridge is shut on Sunday from 4:30am to 11:00pm. Saturday should still be fine from what I've read. Troy is running the show and shine as part of Jeepers HQ. He's organised a breakfast sausage sizzle and there will be a trophy as far as I know :)

I think I'll be there to come and check out some of the other jeeps and meet some of you SJC guys. Not sure if i'll be in the TJ though, as i'm busting to start working on the teralow!! Also it's kinda weird to be driving round on 31's wit 4.88 ratios hehehe

So far we have about 16 SJC members and a couple of visitors attending, should be a good day and hopefully the weather will stay clear for the cruise up the through the beaches.

I should qualify that, the Show and Shine is being organised by Troy (Jeepers HQ) and he is organising any trophies etc as well as organising the sausage sizzle with Dave (Who is fundraising for the Kidney Challenge), SJC members are turning up for the display and to help with Rob and Daves fundraising. The Cruise is organised by SJC and is a club event.

As a reminder the Show and Shine starts at 8:30am and the Club cruise starts at 10:30am

Couple of pics from the show and shine, I didn't get any from the cruise, too busy making sure I went the right way. It was great to look in the rear view and see 18 or so Jeeps following the beach roads around and the looks we got from the beach goers :)

Got the ARB forklift out, it has a nice high lift, and some photos were taken from the top of its reach looking down. We also posed the jeeps all nose in pointing up the carpark and again had some pics taken from up high :) Should look good when we get them.
