2.8crd renergade dual top was $45,100 on road and the 3.8Lt with the same specs was $37,600 so pretty much $8000 difference so im thinking of the petrol now because $8000 is a lot of fuel or accessories

No way. That price difference is wrong. 2 to 3000 would be the difference. The same as the Cherokee KJ

i was thinking it was a bit steep but he even got the manager out and he said the same thing and he also said it was the same with the 300c

300c has a $4k diff between a 3.5l v6 and the 3.0l crd amzing diff in power between the 2 units

I would go to another dealer - the diff should be 3-5 k at most

...'Crikey'... that seems a little savage. According to DC Australia official pricing on Feb 12... the Sport in V6 petrol is $30,990 +or and the diesel lists at $34,990 +or. That's for the two door. Almost looks like you've been quoted for a two door petrol ...or a four door diesel ! Being the first 'kids on the block'..isn't going to do us any favours financially of course..but if you're looking at the two door diesel Renegade...manual.. the list price is 'supposed' to be $34,990 + $2000 for the 'Renegade' pack. (that includes your dual top, deep tint glass, 6 disc cd/dvd player, infinity premium speakers with subwoofer & tubular side steps). ...so $36,990 +or for two door..or $40,990 +or for the Unlimited in Renegade trim. The auto adds another $2000 to those prices. With people champing at the bit to see, drive and own these things at the moment...I can't imagine they'll be many 'great deals' done for a while. I know I got burnt pretty badly with my first shipment KJ.

The unlimited supposedly already has the gearing the same as the Rubicon (that's what I was told) - and they cut the bumper - there is no replacement bumper....

Yes..that's what I've been led to believe. The Unlimited..and actually all the autos in the range should have 4.01 final drive. Supposedly the manual comes standard with the 3.22's and hopefully, if one wants a manual with 4.01 ratios..we can order them and wait. .....Hopefully ! 'Just cutting ' the rear bar sounds scary. Maybe it's designed with a mid section than can be removed ? ..Otherwise ... we're being short changed again I guess. I'd be keen to see if ARB has plans to do a rear bar comprising tow hitch and tyre carrier as well. Anyone had any sneak previews of the ARB front bar or is still a mystery ?

I have been giving the same price as J.B 34.990 for 2 door CRD + 2,000 for Renegade + 4,000 for Delivery/Stamp Duty/Rego = $4,1000 on the Road

Makes sense then, Auto's always seem to be +$2000 with Jeep.

Shame there isn't more transparency on the website pricing page...
