Several years ago, I had found a great source of NOS (New Old Stock) SJ-Series parts in Australia. As I recall, this business had been a Willies/Jeep dealer going way back, and had a stockpile of parts laying around. Does anyone know if such a business still exists down under?

And while I'm at it: Hello from the Rocky Mountains!

Mascot motors, Hamonds Jeep and USA 4x4 are prob among the oldest businesses in Australia dealing with Jeep parts do any of these names ring a bell ?

It would be much cheaper typically to buy locally in the US

No, they don't ring a bell, but if they have websites maybe I could take a look. And you're probably right about buying here in the US, certainly in salvage yards, but there are very few new parts available.

Stokoe Motors in North Melbourne had a stock of CJ and SJ parts for years, so much that they were exporting stuff back to the US.
Unfortunately they no longer exist and auctioned off all the old stuff about 5 or 6 years ago.

Thanks for the replies. Perhaps someone will know of yet another "secret stash" of SJ parts and report it here.

I have found a company in the US called BJ's offroad sells nothing but parts for full size. They post to OZ. www.bjsoffroad.com For example I bought some suspension bushes at about $5 US ea vs $35AU ea local. QTRAC chain & rebuild kit for $129US etc. But pays to check around as some local stuff is OK, all depends on the shipping.

Appreciate any help.
