Has anybody else suffered water leaks from the 4 door freedom roof.

There has been a recall on them, and yes I have one that leaks. plus the rear cargo light also has a recall on it as it does not stay on after a few minutes.

Please check with your dealer for these recalls.

I found out the hard way over the weekend when I said to the wife put your raincoat on when you step inside.

had mine for bout 3 weeks its been living outside in all the heavy rain and no probs. Tho i have heard on US forum that if you dont put the two panels back properly they can leak, quite a few guys have said that removing and reinstalling solved it.

Mine's leaked for two reasons :
1. I didn't re-install the Freedom Tops properly. The LH side comes off first and goes on last.
2. If you open the door(s) during heavy rain, water seems to sit in the channels and then drips out onto your legs when the door(s) are shut. The channels only seem to hold about 50ml, so when about this much water has dripped on you, there shouldn't be any more left. I'm pretty sure all the Aussie JKs had the improved seals fitted during production, because our cars were built from 12-2006 on.

Mine is leaking from the left hand side and down the drivers pillar it's like having a small swimming pool around your feet when you drive.

Also the main power window switch blew last night because of water.

After one week it's in the workshop. I hope this one doesn't turn out to be like my old WH Grand in the workshop every third day.

Mine leaked bad, got in the car oafter work and there was a puddle in the drivers side almost to my ankle, had to splish splash my way home, I think it is because i did not put the panels on right:wall: has anyone had any trouble with the air bag light, mine stays on and has been like that since I bought it a month ago, taken it back a few times and not fixed it

Thats what the floor plugs are for ;)
Lift your carpet, pull out the plug and watch the rain drain away...

I noticed a leak today on the front where the two pieces meet, drops right on the panel on top of the stereo I will try refitting the front panels.

Picked up from the dealer my Jeep Green 4 Door Sport with Renegade pack last week in Sydney after some heavy downfalls of rain. No trace of water marks anywhere inside the Jeep. I was happy.
No problems at all with the vehicle. But I got a flat tyre from a screw in the first week. Can't blame Jeep for that.

Check the entire vehicle for missing screws... :?
