just bought an 85 J10. Can other J10 owners let me know what mods they have done? Pics would be good. Tyres are our priority but we want to get the right size first go ??? or do we lift????

Here is my J10. 350 chev otherwise stock. Running 31/10.5/15s at present but will go to 33s later as I don't want to muck about doing a body lift to fit 35s.

you can fit 33's on it stock, just need some rims with around 4" of backspace and put some rear flares off a tj on the front ro cover the tyres,

rims are just standard black steel rims, pick em up from most good tyre shops 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern so the same as crusiers etc 4" backspace,

Wooders can help you out there too,

Dont forget many of your parts are CJ parts so if you dont find J10 parts look at the CJ to find them

Also watch out when buying from the US to them you have a CJ10 not a J10 to Australia it is known as a J10 the 2 are very different

If you want wider flares get onto Jacko, he does the original flare at different widths. The original flares look good so stick with these, just wider. Jacko has also done lots with J10 suspension, wheels, etc so would be worth a call.

We did a good coverage of the J10 over 2 issues in Jeep Action Magazine and can organize back issues

No Michael they were on it when I got it. Done by the dealer when new.
I didn't like it at first but it has grown on me so the stripes stay. I have remove the big 4X4 from the doors and change the grill colour to white from bronze.

I don't drive it much Ness but if I see the J10 around I will say gday for sure, I know the truck you are talking about. Cheers

if you havent already worked out your tires i have a pair of J10's one with 33's and one with 35's. you are welcome to come out to my place and chuck them on your truck and see how they go. im just north of the gold coast at ormeau. there are a few good tracks close by too so you can try them out too.
