Spend 3 hours today putting tough seal on her
filled it up for the 2nd time took 41 litres that took me 557k most city driving
which is just under 7.5l per 100k
top little jeep :)

my CRD LTD has about 5K on the clock now and going great. Only seen one other on the road. Have seen the economy on the dash as low as 6.6k/l, but seems to be around 7.3 most of the time.

I am in Cranbourne.
Can't decide if I like the look of the Nitro or the Patriot more, I know I don't like the bottom of the front bumper on the Nitro.

Yet again the Grand is in for Warranty repairs and as such we were able to have a Patriot as the loan car. Its the petrol base model in auto. Engine is quite noisy but very perky around town and handles well into the corners. I must say it has better back suspension than the Grand as well. Good room for the baby seat and the large Jeep pram that we have. I love the back of it and the PATRIOT embedded in the rear bumper. Very good package indeed.

Just wondering what size tyres the patriot is running as standard. Thanks.

they are 215/60/r17 continental - lower profile but they are a good ride - very good grip and handleing

Thanks Tasar. Should be able to fit a set of 245/70R17 Cooper STT's under there...
It would increase height by 90mm

why?
are you planning on mud driving with your patriot ?

I haven't bought a patriot yet but I'm just looking around to see what will fit it when I do. Not planning on mud driving as such but will want a good set of rubber to handle some wet and greasy dirt roads with nasty shale on them. I don't think the Continentals would handle either very well. I've had the STT's on a previous vehicle and was very happy with them.
Having done a little more research though I don't known if I'll be able to find any Coopers to suit my needs as they are all way above the allowable size increase of 15mm for the 17 inch rims. Perhaps I'll have to down size the rims to up size the tyres:confused:

Dauntless check out the patriot forum and ask on there they have fd2 so a few would off road them and there is a lift available in the states already
http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/index.php
I would of thought ATR's or st's would be sufficent for a softroader
PS i can recommend the diesel - great little package ;)

Thanks Tasar. The lift looks good. Perfect for what I want to do with the Patriot. It would only be a run around car that would see dirt and a little light off roading occasionally. I have a CRD Commander for touring and the rough stuff.
