TJ Tail light guards

Found these on ebay, was thinking of getting them but I seem to remember reading somewhere on here, that US ones don't fit Aus lights or somethnig like that.

Can anyone clarify? What should I ask seller in order to clarify same?

They are the same. They will work..

I just installed some rugged ridge tail light guards.

For your reference I payed AU$67 delivered from the US.

Some things to note....


My tailgate top hinge rubs slightly on the top right guard rail and has scratched the paint off the rail (in 1 week). Can't really see any easy fix for this.
The mounting screws i received had a rubber washer on them that caused an earthing (or non-earthing as it turned out) issue which messed up the lights when the brake and indicator lights were both on... easy fix was to re-use the original mounting screws.
modification of the inner light seperators is required (you need to bend them). Its easy and is reversible if you don't like the gaurds. Open up the light to have a look and see what I mean.

I had the US one's my TJ.
They will fit but you might find the the len's cover maybe tight to get on,as like mine were.

Considered flush mounting teh stockers instead?
I did yonks ago and not only are the lights less like to take a hit but also they mount to the panel sooooo much more securely.

Quadratec.... but don't expect them to arrive quickly... those guys have been shite lately. Taking over a month with my orders.
