i wanted to know if it's possible to change the gears in an air lokker center????? i got offered one cheap

Yes you can change the gears.You can buy spare parts for the air lockers,call ARB for pricing,because sometimes it isnt cost effective to repair.

What about if you are running stock gears and lockers on a TJ? If I want to go to 4.88 I can get a thick cut gear for the rear but I need a new locker for the front. Is that correct GM Jeep. This is what I have been told anyway.

Yes terror that is correct,you have to buy a new locker for the front.I have been looking into machining up a spacer ring that fits between the crownwheel and the hemisphere, as i am faced with the same problem on one of my tjs but have not got around to that yet.
