Freight MGT Australia's August Jeep of the Month - CLOSES AUG 14th 12pm

Ok for the month of August the competition is open to all AusJeepOffroad members rides.

I am looking for the "BEST NON ACTION SHOT" of your Jeep.

Scenic shots, clean vehicle shots (dirty vehicle shots after a weekend wheeling), what ever you think looks great, however it must be a NON ACTION SHOT.

Entries now being accepted and will close August 14th 2008 @ 12pm.

Please remember and follow the rules. Best of luck.

The rules.

The competition will start on the first of each month and your photo entry must be posted online by the 14th of the month and no later 12pm (midday) that day. No late entries will be considered. 5 members whose Jeep photo’s we feel best represent that months category/topic will become the nominated entries and members will have the chance to vote for the one they think is best.

You may post ONE and ONLY ONE picture of your Jeep for that month’s category/topic. Additional photo’s/posts WILL BE deleted. Should any moderator feel that the picture is not in the spirit of that month’s category/topic, it will be deleted.

All chit-chat will also be deleted. If you have any questions please feel free to PM either Simsy85 or myself.

You may change your photo as many times as you like within your first original post, providing it is done with the specified time. Any edited posts outside the cut-off date/time will be deleted.

Winners photo’s MUST be available to me in high resolution at a size of 1024x768. This is necessary for the calendar we will be producing at the end of the year.

If nominating another members Jeep, you must also include their screen name and they will be the one eligible for the prize(s). If you are nominating your own Jeep, IT MUST BE YOURS. Any member in breach of this rule will have their post deleted and will be automatically disqualified from entering any future competition.

As the promotor of this competition my decission is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Winners will be required to email their high resolution winning picture at a size of 1024x768 with their details to Freight Management Australia their details and all prizes will be sent upon collection of this information.

Looking good guys. Just a quick note to those that have posted that there are a couple of shots entered that are border line between action and non action shots. We will let them pass but you must keep in mind that that for this months judging we are looking for:

-Originality
-Scenic shot
-Different and standout
-Tells a bit of a story

Remember that the winning pictures will be going into a calender and each shot that goes in has to be completely different - hence the different topics each month.

The standout ones most relevant to that topic will win.

My TJ (stock-standard at the time). This was taken at the Lake Wendouree foreshore in Ballarat, Victoria. In the background, you can see the last precious drops of water remaining due to the drought. The lake has since turned dry and become overrun with weeds and fairy-grass.

Both were considered to be action shoots more than they were a scenic shot hence they were deleted. Compare that to the others that have been posted and you will see the difference. There are some that are boarder line which Simsy and I have spoken about and we have let those people know. Others that are way off are simply deleted with an explaination why.

There will be a month where that shot will fit right in but for what we are looking for for the month of August it was not it. And its also set like this to make it fair for the poster as well. We don't want pics in here that we know won't be in contention for the prizes at the end so its basically a heads up to post something else :)

Just appeared to me to be a little savage as both pics had no driver so the Jeep was obviously parked up and Tonka had typed in all 3 posts 'why were my pics deleted/where did my pics go' so he obviously didn't have an explanation at the time.
