Rodge you,ve been in that garage to long mate? I see the sign as informing us to keep to the tracks and stay out of the bush ( The signs not on the track is it?)

But that prohibits off-road vehicles. 4WDs are not classified as off-road vehicles.

When I did my 4wd course with Eureka 4WD many years ago, we passed one of those signs & the owner of Eureka 4WD(Ray Harris) told us that are 4wds were not Licenced as offroad vehicles but as licenced road worthy vehicles.

i know, ive been working too hard but dont remember seeing those signs. i quizzed Mike about the "no offroad vehicles" and he said there was a symbol showing a 4wd unit with a cross thru it. dunno if that was another sign. still waiting on his report - nuttin yet so i suppose he got in. prolly nuttin to worry bout but i STRESS when i get messages like this. im going off to chill now <twitch-twitch>

Maybe they want to stop dirtbikes and quads and the like from tearing up the tracks. I hope they arent closing it there will be a lot of very pissed off 4x4 owners in Perth otherwise

Hi folks
Tried the Talbot Rd entrance and ran into the local land owner - right next to a sign saying no access that had been mown down (probably by a Toymota, lol!) and he ventured that CALM or whoever is intending a full closure - but when he didn't know (though not soon enough for him I should add).

The sign at the entrance just west of the Sawyers Valley pub has a very clear sign with a long list of "don'ts" including offroad vehicles with a picture of a 4wd (y'know - a spare wheel on the back, *not* a dune buggy!) and seems like a pretty new sign. The roadside along Gt Eastern Hwy to the Lakes has them too but big with a "dob in" 1300 phone number...

The farmer said he is well p***ed that sign written 4wd "training" schools are going through there...
Cheers

ive always started at cole rd and finished at talbot, seen plenty of the no off road vehicles but as mentioned doesnt apply to 4wds, although there is a bit of a crack down goin on in that area, keep an eye out, and remember they gotta catch ya to fine ya lol

we Australians are the most taxed nation in the world. think about it 10 of every thing you buy. plus 30% of wage or higher. vehicle taxes, local rates. payroll tax. CGT. that medicare one fuel excise. Pet licensing airport taxes, house stamp duty. whast an extra fine to actually enjoy life!
