W.A. Easter Long Weekend. FRI 10th - MON 13th April

The plan:We will be staying at Hoffman's Mill near Harvey from Friday the 10th until Monday the 13th. Day trips starting at 10am sharp! Friday through Sunday. All are welcome

THE CAMP:Hoffman's Mill Site

Directions: South Western Highway, 9km north of Harvey. Travel along Logue Brook Dam Road for 6.2km, go past Lake Brockman Caravan Park turn off, and continue on the gravel road. After 3.1km the Logue Brook Dam Road runs into Clarke Road. Turn left and travel on 8.1km to Hoffman's. 27km north-east of Harvey.

Facilities: Flushing toilets with disabled access. Free gas BBQ, wood BBQ, picnic tables with seats, footy oval, untreated water taps, bush walks, central information board and rubbish collection area.
Description: Large camping areas good for caravans, shady, grassy and excellent for groups. Lots of private camping spots dotted around the site.
The camp ground will accommodate large groups on a first come first serve bases, water (not for drinking) and toilets are available, wood for the fire and fire pits on site, no power or showers.
If the camp spots are full at Hoffman's we will stay at the Oval (the overflow camp spot for Hoffman's) just few 100m down the road.

You are welcome to join us for a day or the weekend.

Trip:We will have trail runs on Friday Saturday & Sunday the 25th.

This run will consist of medium to extreme tracks in the Harvey area. There is alternative tracks on the extreme sections.

We will be leaving from the camp by 10am sharp, day trippers welcome but allow for minimum of 2 hours from Perth.

What to bring: Lots of water, sunscreen, lunch, hat, camera, UHF Radio & Camping Gear for campers

Vehicle:Needs to have front and rear recovery points!

I'm pretty much going to show up Friday arvo and camp Friday, and then organize what area's are going to be done then Saturday I'll bring the other zook... and the same for Sunday, takes me like 30mins to get out there anyway.

Might have a new hill to, might be a bit out of the way but, a mate is showing me where it is tomorrow... Sunday, its meant to be somewhere between kirup and Bridgetown and its meant to be harder then bob's hill, yeeha, i'll play heaps but shouldn't break it, but we can rebuild it before next weekend if i do... its going to get overhauled after Easter run. If anyone for some reason is feeling like doing a heap of km's tomorrow, give me a ring on 0427795116 we'll be meeting at kirup at like 12pm lunchtime, i'll hit Brunswick on way home.

Saturday We'll probably do Hitchhiker, TJ hill, 35" ruts, rogers hill etc. Friday Goat road sounds like a plan. I don't know those tracks so if someone knows those tracks they are more than welcome to lead that trip. As for Sunday we'll have to play it by ear. depends on who is about and if there are any breakages!! Got my new 33's during the week. Mischif and I took Tweety out today and put em through their paces **) I hope it rains all week. LOL

Well Im back from a day trip, if aussiejeepimages worked I'd post some pics.
The sunset pic is of the fire at Baldivis, they closed the freeway entries up until Kwinana, added an extra hour onto the journey home Sunday arvo, D'oh

Otherwise a great day out, good mix of beach & forrest terrain. Mini me was mesmerized by the tyre deflaters. Oh & loved the sand & surf... a little too much.

Thanks for the day trip will have to make it down one year & camp to investigate some of the nocturnal activities.

Looks like you guys had a ball

Tried to get down there but broke down on Hoffman road at around 9:10am on saturday. Dropped the bolt out of the panhard rod where it meets the bracket at the diff housing. Managed to limp to the camp site but by the time I got there everyone had already left for the day. Me and my GF just limped home at 50kmph in the gutter along South West Hwy :( was shitting myself about getting stickered with all the police on the roads.. :)

Passed a couple of guys on the way home and exchanged the Jeep wave (Rodge and a few others jeeps) once I get this problem sorted I will be keen for another run...

Anybody have plans for anzac day long weekend?
