Here is a little background on my current cars...
79 F150 4x4, US import, with Factory Stepside shortbox. We used to drive it around with 3" Suspension lift, and 3" bodylift. We had it on 35's with 15x10 American Racing Atlas rims (Thanks TW) for the road, and 38.5 x 14.5 TSL SX's on 15x10's for play. Runs a 400ci V8, C6 auto and the original 9" rear, HP D44 front, with 3.5 gears. Hotted up motor, with low blow supercharger on straight LPG, was as quick as a V6 Commodore at the lights, with Lakes pipes, really sounded tuff.
Took it wheeling a couple of times, but it was too big to get thru most places, plus it was a neat thing, so I didn't want to damage it. Took it to the 4x4 proving grounds at Werribee, and have a pic of it launching out of the huge holes on the test track. Pic was taken too early, it went about another meter up!
Took it to Summernats 16, and was pretty chuffed at being the biggest badboy there, until Saturday, when a guy with a 40 series turned up on 44" boggers, and was about 2" taller than me.....
The rest they say, is history.
Took it home, ordered a set of the biggest Swampers available, 44 x 21 STS TRUXUS all terrains, and a set of 15 x 14 steel wheels. Ordered a 9" superlift kit, and started looking around to see what I'd need to fit it.
Found a pair of Chevy K20 diffs, Corporate 14 bolt FF rear, and D44 front, with 4.56 gears. Put a Detroit Locker in the rear, and refurbished the brakes, and swapped the knuckles on the D44's, so I had bigger chev discs, and 8 lug bolt pattern all round. I have a set of 4.56 HP gears, and an ARB locker, to go in the front later.
Fitted the Suspension kit, and the tyres, and took a few pics....
There wasn't enough clearance for the rear tyres, so I pulled the rear body lift out, and made some 6" lift blocks for the tub, and refitted it higher. The stepside is Factory original steel, there's no way I'm gunna cut it up to clear tyres! The tub still looks right, it's hard the notice the difference.
The motor came out, for a rebuild, bigger cam to suit the blower (the first blower was just dropped on) and a Clevo manifold modified to suit, and a 6/71 done up for it, with water to air intercooler, and a pair of Holley Dominator carbs.
Auto was rebuilt, to handle more power, and thats where the progress has stopped. I really need to find someone who can finish it for me, I don't have the time, or the enthusiasm to finish it, yet it is the only car I have, that I really want to drive, and will never sell.....

I have a pretty big stereo in this, has a pair of 12" Kicker Solobaric subs, and has cranked out 141db in a car audio soundoff! I took it to Auto Salon one year, it sure was funny looking at all the ricer loving kids trying to make sense of it! Got into the semi finals there, in my class (2 x 12's).

One day.......

Seriously, I sold the gun rack on ebay, and I don't know how to play banjo.

I like this model, before they went light duty on the later models.
If it weren't a factory Stepside, I'd love to build a BigFoot 1 tribute. Mine will be close, blower out the bonnet, but yellow. I may paint it later on, if I ever get it closer to finished....

There are chocks under the rear wheels too. With only 1 brick chock, I can push the tyre, and roll it up and over! But the cat's not scared of it!

There is a couple mufflers each side, it is pretty legal, noise wise.

I'm getting 2 more mufflers fitted to the Mustang Saturday, but I've been pulled over and had RBT's before, but it's always a nervous time. We used to drive the F150 around a lot too, on 35's, but I was nervous then too. My wife drove it more than I did, as it was our second car, she had to drive it to work 1/2 the time. We drove both cars to and from Summernats. I won't be driving the F150 around much at all, I have a trailer for it, and was going to tow it with my Lexus, so if it sells, I will have to buy another when the time comes.

Full width tilt trailer, with drive over wheel arches, no sides, and electric brakes. It's rated to 2800kg.

one question, how the hell do you get in? thats massive, i love it.

CRUSHU

When it was on 39's, I could only get in it, if I were wearing shorts or trackies. I used to swing a leg up, then pull myself in. Forget it now!
I think I'll climb the back wheel, get on the side step, then swing into the cabin.
Havn't got it driving yet, to test the theory out....

I need to find someone smart & keen to finish it for me, for a few $$.
