hi ogjon,
weather permitting I would like to attend the rece but the mention of "subarus" leads me to wander what level of 4WDing you would be doing, could you please confirm.

for the most part will be medium dificulty
there are chicken tracks around the harder stuff
I'm sure the lifted subarus will go ok, but in saying that we'll most likely need to do a few recoveries I'm not going to force the subaru drivers to do the harder sections though you'll be suprised where a subaru will go I had a few stock out backs come on a killingworth loop trip which is mainly medium - hard & they all got through albiet with many recoveries from the mud & ruts.

Those Cruisers and Hiluxs must have had some real problems, Fraser is easy enough to get around on and really it isn't a measure of a capable 4WD, you can get a light weight 2WD around there if you had to, I know a few guys that have run VW Baja Bugs up there with no problems. Jeeps just cruise around Fraser no problems at all.
I'm half tempted to come on this trip just to watch the Subbies ;)
Cheers

dang it 2 things have come up to stop me from running this trip
1. weather it's forecast for rain for the next 4 days
2. family stuff means I can only do a 1/2 -3/4 day will need to bail around 1:30pm
I'm gonna run with the weather & pull the pin on going to the Watto's as I don't want to damage the tracks.
if anyone still wants to come for a wheel on Sunday
