I've been trying to figure out how to mount the auxilliary battery in the engine bay of my kk petrol. The only possible solution so far is to replace the standard air filter with a cone type K&N filter which should leave enough room to mount another battery.

Has any one tried this or have other reccomendations.

Had the CRDSTU 2.5" lift kit fitted yesterday and I am extremely happy with the outcome.

I spoke to the guys at Gibson Airflow about 3 weeks ago, and they're in the final stages of making a snorkel to fit the KK Cherokee. They informed me that they are designing a new airbox to go with the snorkel - the factory one will basically be replaced.
They said there should be plenty of room for a 2nd battery with the new box they're designing, so I'm being patient and waiting for that....

I thought of putting one in the gap near the fuse/relay box, but I ended up making a custom bracket to fit an ARB air compressor

That's good news. I'll check with them for a release date. I'd much prefer the battery to be in the engine bay than the back of the car as in my previous Jeep.

Any news on the snorkel?

Or where to fit a second battery?
