You are probably right, this will be my third set I have replaced
Its just from the people who make the polyurethane bushes when I looked at their photos ....and thought maybe, as I really are not looking forward to the job dropping the diff out.
When I have just replaced the front one the others will not be far behind, changed all 3 110,000, 165,000 and looks like again at 208,000, The front driveshaft rear CV joint goes about the same time...so I will be doing that at the same time as well, this time around.

Looks like they just undo front drive shaft ,diff mount. axle bushes and rotate, lot easer, than taking all out ,maybe!!

Yeah, I am not going to bother trying to replace mine without removing the diff - knowing my luck it will just end in tears!

Every time I try to take the shortest route it ends up this way...

Big day ahead, but I'm not that fussed.

That pic is in a jeep with a super lift that could be the reason why, i tried it and spent ages trying too it's not possible (on a stock hight jeep), i even removed the LCA for more clearance then pulled one axle out and still no good.
The time i wasted trying to do it in the car i could have just dropped the diff out twice.

That's what I was afraid of! ;)

Looking at the picture, Have to jack the car up, have to undo the mounts, have to disconnect the drive shaft.

Either way

I've done mine twice without dropping the diff. It was tough doing the upper/passenger side one, but definitely doable... can't think of any specific trick other than having various socket extensions & wobble joints, and getting some good bruises on my arms.

I cut through the outer sleeve of the old bush with a reciprocating saw so they tap out easily, then press the new one in using a threaded-rod style press/puller (a proper one with with correct size sleeves, thrust bearings, etc.).

Got Jeeperf ones waiting to go in, so I'll try to take some photos when I get time to do it.
