Regulator at 88% at idle looks wrong. It should be around 20%.

Sorry for the slow reply. If you disconnect the fuel return lines from the reg, or remove them from the injectors as a quick and dirty test you won't make much mess. I wouldn't block it, preferably drain in into a contain or use a leak back test kit.

The idea is to see if the volume of return fuel is telling the reg to shut down the engine.

Ive put transparent lines on and its drawing in air from the filter new filter and new lines and orings ..can it be from the pipe coming from the tank? Had an air issue since i removed the tank?

The valve on the filter can that cause an air leak ive heard about them giving trouble and best to blank it on filter and connect the return line straight
