Palla, I too get some contact, but only since I changed to the 16.5mm wire diameter special coil. Before that I didnt get any contact, although borderline. The pinching of the rubber boots is a reselt of the outter edges pinching when the wheel is on full droop. Its nothing to be real concerned about. I just point the little red stick that comes with a can of WD40 in that litte hole/tear and spray away - shouldnt rust any time soon. IF the bloody things were greasable from the factory (rolls eyes) it would be saweeet.

When I had the raised CRD coils in my 3.7 it sat at 765mm and still had a one/eighth clearence between ubj and coil at full drop but now I have put raised 3.7 coils in and a 8mm spacer it sits at 740mm and it only has a cigerette paper clearence between ubj and coil at full drop, I think the spacer makes the difference some how?????.

yes it does, but that's the compromise we have when we are trying to squeeze out as much CRITICALLY NEEDED down travel as we can get out of our lame IFS.

After the lift with CRDSTU's special springs and kings rear.
Front: 525
Rear: 540
Just need to wait for them to settle and re-measure.

I'm glad the rear is so high as once the drawers go in with the recovery gear and tools it should sit a bit lower :p

Thanks to CRDSTU for sharing the better spec'd spring with us all.
