a better view of the polished drive shaft now our GC is up on the hoist at Bayside CJ. No other damage other than a few scrapes and dents here and there! most of those from before i added the 30 mm lift to the rear i think!

I've been using Pinnacle Studio 15, and had a lot of trouble with the load times at the start too. I discovered the program was re-converting all video files as soon as they were imported to the program. I've since changed that setting so it just uses whatever the file type is that I'm importing, and it's made the load times much quicker.

When you get a DSLR, make sure you use it to it's full potential, a lot of people just buy them and then never take the camera off "auto". Granted I don't know heaps about photography, but I learn by making mistakes and experimenting. Plus, I had a little knowledge of aperture, shutter speed and ISO from my school days anyway, and those basics allow you to do so much more.
Digital is amazing in that you can take almost unlimited shots, review them straight away and adjust as necessary. Better than the old days of writing down all your settings, then seeing how each photo turns out in the dark room to discover what the best setting is for a particular shot.


Haha, that was actually the most expensive of all the lenses. I wanted to buy it solely for video, as I've taken a little inspiration from this guy, as his videos are shot on a Canon 5D, most of the time with a wide lens and an expensive "glidecam" camera mount, which makes video look amazing. I'm still saving for that, and I want a stereo microphone too.

Ok, well, interenet is capped I think, so I guess that means it's time for video editing. Maybe I'll even get around to the rest of my Jambo footage haha

I learnt a heap from Youtube, but most from a retired professional photographer, Colin Beard, who did National Geograhic and Rolling Stone etc. I always use manual now. You spend well into the thousands on equipment so you can take good photos for that special holiday, but have no idea how to take a good pic, correct framing especially. Well worth the $300 for the basic course.

Absolutely, I've been putting this purchase off for ages cos I wanted a decent still camera that could do decent vid quality as well (doesn't have to be pro level, but won't knock if it was capable) and I think the DSLR's are getting there now (that are affordable anyway), like the Nikon D5200 and Canon 650D. Still looking at least $1k to get it setup how I want (i.e. with at least the wide angle lens plus the stock lens'). Def not going to spend that kind of coin just to run it on 'auto' mode haha! I currently use a Canon G10 and I don't think I've ever used the 'auto' mode, always fiddling with the controls to adjust the parameters to suit what I want. I have just totally outgrown that cam and want a much more sensitive sensor for better low light pics, plus better lens quality.

I have a mate who is pretty decent behind the cam and uses his for work (imaging and branding), and another friend who did a small photography course as well after she got her DSLR recently. They will be helpful to me :)
We are going totally way of topic here (one of us better throw a Jeep pic up or something to get it back haha), but Devin Super Tramp makes great vids, love his style! Because of this vid by him, I’m now into drift trikes :D:
