Absolutely, that's what I run on mine and I personally think that is better width that an 8.5 and definitely a 9 as I have said before it will create a tighter bead and less likely to roll a tyre off the rim.

So it's probably best if i look into a new set of wheels, what offset will give me enough room on th sway bar but won't have the tyres sticking out heaps? As i most likely won't have flares before i look at new tyres

i also have my tyre shop tell me that on 315/70r17s my jeep would rive like a boat on anything less than a 10 inch wheel.. considering how many people have 35s or bigger im assuming that was a sales pitch?

Actually, I'm of the same opinion as wranglertj, but my anality makes me look for a 35 that has a minimum recommended rim width of 8"s.

Offset would be 10+ or greater.

I have a 2014 rubicon with 35"s / 4.11"s and I really like it. Plenty slow off-road due to the rubicon transfer case and plenty of power on the highway. You will need an AEV procal or similar as already stated

I run 4.5" of BS on 17x8 rims. Xenon flat fender flares
