Thanks mate!!
And that's where it's at today. In the process of sorting out the tune at the moment, seems like the 850 might be a bit small, might have to go 950cfm. Future plans.. Dunno. I've broken a lot of rear diffs over the years so I'm looking into a diff conversion, maybe a 9", or a patrol h233. I want a cable shifter for the D20 and I need another carpet kit that includes the back section. probably wouldn't mind getting the door trims redone to match the seats. The seats are NC fairlane seats re trimmed. Annnnd maybe one day a new set of wheels, they are a bit pitted and ratty, wouldn't mind either black rims with a beadlock or chrome. Cheers for looking! |
Awesome build mate, great pics too.
Love seeing the old FSJs still going hard and looking awesome! Well done Matt. |
Nice work Nut.
Looks like you already know a motor trimmer, but Tru-Fit car carpets in Vic do carpet sets for Chero's, including the rear cargo area. http://trufitcarpets.com.au/custom-fit-car-mats/ Patrol diff would be ideal, within bees dick (0.3mm) of same stud pattern. Will be wide though, GQis 63" vs Chero 59 approx IIRC. GU diff is a few inches wider again |
I remember that at black duck ...you drowned it on the very first day if i remember correctly ..than on the last day with the blown motor you managed to get it going enough to send it back through the mud again ..i can still remember the bad noises coming out of that motor you where not kind to it:lol::lol: ..cheers mick

Yeah the patrol diff (GQ) is 100mm wider, trying to suss out a way to get it shortened at the moment, it isnt looking easy though. I already have one too, going to send it into my diff bloke soon to see if he can get billet axles made shorter for it. |

First day, second run it bent the rods. We were spewing though because they ended up draining it and didnt tell us that the first day didnt count, which is why we gave it a go again on the last day, but the motor was pretty bad, down 2 cylinders haha. I wouldn't even dream of getting it dirty these days!! ;) |
