No progress yet but it should not be much longer before things start moving.:)

Barra conversion all but completed. Just finished tidying up all the little issues elec fans, speed sensor, ECU wiring etc. It has been a long project that was rejuvenated by covid. Have taken a few test drives around the neighbourhood sorting out issues it is just about ready. Currently sorting out suspension travel and bump stops along with sourcing and refitting a rear stabiliser bar removed by previous owner.

Then to get a weighbridge ticket and engineer certification. Have been speaking with the engineer and ran the idea of getting a GVM and towing upgrade along with a modest wheel size upgrade to 33" at the same time as engine conversion. He stated that it is very difficult to get a one off GVM upgrade approved at the moment and wheel size will require testing along with increased costs.

Looks like I am doomed to tiny wheel size upgrade now. Will leave the 235 X 75 X 15's on for engineering. Can only go to 29.7" legally anyway :(

I haven’t heard of a TJ getting approved a towing upgrade (at least in the last ten years). Let us know how it progresses, very interested.
