Spent last week in Broken Hill for work. Just a couple of (poser) shots as I didn't have time for any proper action. :(

Had an eventfull day at the power lines today.. Never let a lack of flex get in the way of a good time.

Spent a week near Bright in the Vic High country in the little known township of Wandilagong. Bloody cold. Wasn't planning on doing any 4WDing but found an endless amount of fairly easy tracks through the pine plantations and forests around there. After heavy rain it'd be a different story but last week it was perfect.
Also found out it's almost impossible to fit snow chains to a KJ. The front is too tight between the tyre and the suspension. And the rear OME shocks are too fat. |
|
Unfortunately the place we were staying didn't have a fireplace. Only a reverse cycle aircon which kept freezing up every 10mins once the outside temp got below about 2deg.

Just fitted my new Cragar Soft 8's, 16x8 5" BS on 265/70/16 Cooper STT's. Shite loads if trimming up front, a bit down the back + some home pannel beating. They stuff very well in the rear:D , the front looks fine but need's a trail test. These pics are with the sway bar connected which give's me a good idea how the back can perform but the front will just have to wait. I can certainly say I happy with the purchase & a big thanks to Wooders for shipping them here from the states (one still to come for the spare).

G'day all,
Took my '03 Limited out this weekend to Echuca on the Victoria/New South Wales boarder for its first camping trip away. Unfortunately there's not too much real 4WD territory in Echuca itself but i found a few tracks with tiny hills and also some mud to play in. I have been copping crap from some of my mates in the fire brigade, they call it a girls 4WD but I am just waiting for the day that I head out on a trip with them (after a lift and new tyres) then show them what a girls 4WD it really is, they can keep their defenders and patrols, I like my KJ. After looking at some of your pics and hearing you guys have posted I am pretty confident my KJ (with the mods) will meet the challenge with little dramas. Didn't take too many photo's but here are a few. Please excuse the Photo Quality |

Just a couple from today's MJOC trip around Neerim. Was an Excellent trip! Thanks to my mate Mark for being my camera guy.

Heres some of me from MJOC's Neerim Nasty weekend. It was a fantastic weekend. Great weather, great company, great trips, heaps of dust, a little bit of mud AND heaps of carnage. My winch stopped Friday night, front air-locker has a major leak and boiled the engine (but it seems OK now)...... and I got out lightly :o
http://www.stephenmeddings.com/photo...7/100_6207.jpg http://www.stephenmeddings.com/photo...7/100_6208.jpg ummmm. Only steam :( We think its a faultly thermostat but it had our hearts racing when initially all the steam looked like smoke! Into the dealer in the morning.... http://www.stephenmeddings.com/photo...7/img_4597.jpg http://www.stephenmeddings.com/photo...7/img_4604.jpg http://www.stephenmeddings.com/photo...7/100b7173.jpg http://www.stephenmeddings.com/photo...7/100b7533.jpg http://www.stephenmeddings.com/photo...7/100_7627.jpg http://www.stephenmeddings.com/photo...7/100_7628.jpg |

Went to camp at Newnes on the APEC long weekend.
Only went out on Saturday for a day of easy driving. Met this hill but didn't make it up. I think I needed to give it a bit more gas. A few of the Terracan's made it up with a good run up though. http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...1&d=1189380304 |

Yeah! That one got the butt muscle moving as there was a big hole that you can see me dropping off into.
The shot below is last Thursday fresh out of the ARB workshop with 2" OME lift and STT 255/70/R16's. Made a huge difference in the mud, especially hill climbs....;) Attachment 21481 |
