Had to snatch the brother-in-laws Hilux down onto the beach at bribie today. It was my first off road outing in my new '08 wrangler.

that was about 830 in the morning for that video, it rained pretty much from there on!

BennyC76 21-08-2011 06:16 PM

The bribe southern access track, it claims many victims. But beware the first creek is even worse, after good rain and high tide it is almost unpassable. Check linked video.

it wasnt too bad the other day, all the washouts are gone along the beach and the inland track was quite easy to get through. the only problem was the whole way down the beach we were going up and down all the humps down the beach so we could only go about 40 the whole way down. plus the gear in the boot kept going up and down on every bump. It ended up getting too annoying so i threw it into the ute of my brother-in-laws hilux.

Any time Dave,

I have a yearly pass which expires in September. Will have to organise a trip relatively soon. Perhaps an AJOR outing? I usually go for the fishing. But lately there have been no gutters, therefore the beach fishing has been pretty poor. :(

cheers

Ben

OK Ben that sounds like you are organising something there....:D

How about some light tackle to have a throw with - right up the northern section?

These were up at Zig Zag a couple of weeks ago. It was our first time out in a couple of months. Added a few more scratches to the tally and managed to lose a number plate but had a great day out.

It was a track on the opposite side of the valley from the Lost City (you see the Lost City in the background).

Giving the traction control something to work on.....until I got bottomed out.

And with a slightly different line it's a piece of cake.

I just sold my little zook and miss her dearly. They are a weapon and a great starter in the 4x4 world

DownSouth 30-10-2011 07:31 PM

The Zook cost 2k and fun to $ ratio has to be the best on the market, great rig to learn with, my son has developed a very technical approach to his wheeling, His first car and he has learned a lot on and off road.

This is my complete stocker. Is getting mods soon.

On our last trip we embarrassed a Range Rover. This time it was the mighty GU that copped it. 35" MTZs and locked and it struggled where the Jks and even Tjs drove easily. How the mighty have fallen!

Nice Video, the dog look like he is having a great time. I especially enjoyed the back ground music as well.
