Ahaha, I don't particularly need that on my insurance record, as I wrote off my first car sliding the passenger side into a tree. I keep getting told to just hit animals rather than put myself at risk, but I couldn't do it.

Contacted ACCC + Chamber of Commerce and MTA

Alright, here's an update, I've contacted the ACCC, the WA Consumer Protection (Chamber of Commerce) and MTA again - None of them can help me.

Why not? What is the actual response?
What is your actual, factual complaint as told to those bodies?

Matt.

I agree with matt. You don't have a lemon your jeep has been affected mainly by human error.

Your best resolution will be to ensure your vehicle is being fitted with a new assembled crate motor and turbo. This is the only option which will get your vehicle back on the road without any question marks over its future reliability.

Note there WILL be a lead time on this, don't worry the dealer will be just as frustrated at this as you will be. If the wait is not acceptable then now would be an opportunity to talk with your dealership and discuss options to trade yours in at a reasonable market value and get you into another JK whether it be a new one, demo, near new or used.

Are you in a car loan or a lease/chp of some description? This can have an affect too.

I actually think considering your age you need to stop posting about it on the internet and seek actual legal advice. I've been through this sort of stuff before (denial of warranty work following a crash which was fair enough but the insurer refused to co-operate which was the problem) and I found it easier in the end to simply sell the vehicle and pay out the lease.

Anyway.

Larnert, good luck with Jeep, or the dealer, which will only do what Jeep tell them/authorise them to do.

No different to any other car make/brand, all will duck shove you sideways and hope you go away. No lemon laws here as said, which doesnt help.

Ring A Current Affair and state your case, maybe that will get them off their ass to resolve it. Or maybe not.

your only chance would be to contact the general manager of chrysler australia, direct if you can get the phone number or address. the dealers will not help you.

Matt.

The reason Im asking this is...depending on what you and they have said, Jeep Aust may look like they are doing all they can to resolve this. Again depending on what your info and response is/was the relevent bodies may believe they have no case to answer.

If you can provide all the information then the across the knowledge and experience of this forum, may be able to assist in either formulating your complaint to get an adequate response/resolution from the Auto Bodies or Jeep Aust.

As a forum we dont know all the facts and dont know if full disclosure from both sides has been presented. For all we know, Jeep has actually been reasonable in their eyes and some customers can never be satisfied what ever the result. Despite that, I would never accept a rebuilt CRD engine from
an inexperienced dealership, period.

So Im guessing you are posting on the forum for assistance/advice etc and without the full story I wont make any judgements, but I am happy to give advice, especially being from WA, as to how to get some results if you are in the right.

Matt.
