I'll agree with Dave, the a 2007 onwards 70 series is worth a serious look. Relatives have the ute and it tows a 2.5T jayco no worries on the road and off (on sand mostly), and goes anywhere you point it. A bit truck like to drive but it's definitely manageable, their daughter learnt to drive in it! In regards to the auto conversion, they looked into it and it's around $10k :O but rumour has it on some other forums I'm on that Toyota's bringing out a 70 series with the the auto from the 200 by the end of the year...

Nope. Really want something with 6cylinders that I can drive through to Pineapple Flat in the Vic High Country and therefore limited choice.

Wife however has picked her WRX so that's a good thing. We're past it being a mid life crisis. We actually can have whatever suits.

So my WK2 sold for a figure between $40k and $45k for anyone interested. The buyer's finance is all approved and handover occurs in the next 2 days once the funds clear.

I've just ordered as a replacement one of the few remaining Nissan Navara Dual Cab V6 Turbo Diesel STX 4x4's. As posted earlier, I was really wanting a V6 engine and managed to get a Turbo Diesel with this choice. These days the choices for a V6 TD are very limited. Having said that, happy with my purchase here as the next best option to a WK2 which I loved as a general purpose 4by, but I want to explore a bit further and deeper than I was prepared to drive the WK2.

To everyone on here, enjoy the rest of your Jeep journey. Who knows, one day I may be back:-)
