CRD not starting after flexplate replacement Hi Guys, so might have just scored a cheap CRD, apparently its just had a new flex plate installed by a mechanic, now it will crank but not start, any ideas on where to start looking to fix it?

New flex plate so box has been out...dont want to be obvious but simply checking everythings been plugged back in correctly and isnt 'broken' would be step one...pull the plugs of the looms and check their all in good knick and making a connection, wires are on where they should be...its a start

Got any codes??
My first guess would be check the crankshaft position sensor..could have taken a hit during flexplate change over. I think its the same one on the 3.0 merc crd so Rock Auto will have them. Good luck , let us know how you go. By the way I think the crank sensor is electronic so simple multimeter check is no help. |
going to pick it up tomorrow night, was hoping it was something simple so i could drive it home instead of trailer it
