Kings throttle controller

I know there used to be a kings throttle controller for the JK but their new generation one doesn’t list Jeep on their list. I saw on fb that the ford ranger connection may work, has anyone confirmed that it fits?

They never used to have a Jeep Wrangler listed. I emailed them about it and said that they were missing a big piece of the market but was told that they had no plans to sell one for Wranglers.

Not long after that, suddenly they were advertised for Jeeps but sold out instantly. I managed to get one and it was branded as a Ford Ranger item. It plugs straight in and has been great.

I can't tell you want model it was for off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure it was for a PXII model Ranger.

I have one from the first release, which was listed to work with the Ranger and the Wranger. The subsequent ones looked exactly the same but the software/throttle mappings may have been (even) better.

The Ranger and Wrangler use the same plugs for the fly-by-wire throttle pedal and from my understanding the signal from the pedal is quite simplistic, which means that there is no way the throttle controller would be able to intelligently distinguish between the vehicles and would have to work the same for both.

In short, I think it's worth a shot.

I just went back through my online orders and the part number was 715 which is indeed the same unit that fits the PXII Ranger back then. They have obviously changed suppliers so the part numbers are different now.

I believe the original Kings units were just rebranded idrive ones and their unit for the PXII Ranger was TS-715.
